Who is responsible for your information
VEILLE is responsible for the personal information it uses to run the store and fulfil your orders. For questions or requests about your information, email finleydmurray@icloud.com. You can also write to us at:
Monks WellEttridge FarmPembridge LaneEN10 7QPInformation we use
When you place an order, checkout collects information such as your name, contact details, delivery and billing addresses, and the items you purchase. Payments are handled through Shopify checkout and its payment providers; VEILLE does not receive your full card details.
When you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. Our website and service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and security logs to deliver and protect the service.
Why we use it
- To process payment, fulfil your order, arrange delivery and handle returns: performance of our contract with you.
- To keep records required by tax, accounting and consumer law: compliance with legal obligations.
- To answer enquiries, prevent fraud and maintain website security: our legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
- Where we ask for permission for optional marketing or non-essential tracking: your consent, which you can withdraw.
Who receives your information
We share information as needed with Shopify and payment providers to operate checkout, Royal Mail to deliver orders, website hosting providers to run the site, and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. We do not sell your personal information.
Some service providers process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires safeguards, transfers must use an approved adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual protections. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your information.
Shopify's handling of information is described in its privacy policy.
Cookies and browser storage
This storefront uses browser storage to remember your shopping bag, including selected items and a Shopify cart reference. Clearing your browser storage removes the remembered bag. Shopify checkout may use cookies and similar technologies for checkout, security and payment processing.
You can manage storage and cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential storage may affect shopping or checkout. Any optional analytics or advertising tracking requiring consent must only run after you agree to it.
How long we keep information
We retain order and financial records for applicable statutory record-keeping periods. Support correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the enquiry and deal with related claims. We may keep information longer where required by law or an ongoing dispute, and remove or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your information; restriction of processing; a portable copy; or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and normally respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
